Grid Integration of Distributed Energy Resources in Smart Grid

چکیده

As the gap between supply and demand of electrical power is getting wider the continuous power supply is not possible for all at the same time. Existing power grid is not well suited for 21 century power flow from generation to end user. To focus on the challenges of 20 century grid like blackout, Power discontinuity, Frequency variation, etc. the new concept of smart grid emerged. It is expected to be new industry platform. This paper discusses on basic concept of smart grid technology and focuses on grid integration features of Distribution generation and distribution network management. In addition to managing the existing energy resources, generating power effectively using MATLAB Programming and intelligently is an equally important agenda. The epileptic condition of the power sector can be attributed to the inadequate and inefficient power plants, poor transmission and distribution facilities, and outdated metering system used by electricity consumers. We introduce the key elements and their interactions in the proposed control architecture and discuss the design of the distributed control systems which are able to coordinate their actions to account for optimization considerations on the system operation.
